In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

3 reasons to book
  • Historic monastery setting — The building is a converted monastery, with a portal, Andalusian tiles on the walls, and a cloister courtyard featuring a well and orange trees.
  • Central location — A 9-minute walk to the Granada Exhibition and Conference Centre, and close to the historic quarter, with a bus stop at the door.
  • Friendly and helpful staff — Reception and breakfast staff are repeatedly described as charming, helpful, and pleasant.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Dining is a weak point — The Dining rating is 6, the lowest category, though some guests find the breakfast acceptable for a 3-star hotel.
  • Rooms and cleanliness only average — Rated 7, meaning it's fine but not outstanding; a few guests noted minor issues with the room experience.
  • Parking is not on-site — Public parking is nearby, not on the property, and it appears to be street parking that may be cheap but not covered.
  • No pets allowed — The hotel does not accept pets, which may limit travel for those with animals.

“I enjoyed the hotel. It's built on an old monastery, with brand-new modern rooms. You enter through the monastery portal, next to a church and a school of the Escolapios family. There are beautiful Andalusian tiles on the walls, and a courtyard cloister with a well and orange trees. The heating worked well—it was cold—and the lighting was pleasant, with tasteful, minimalist decoration in soft colours. The bathroom was good. Breakfast was more than acceptable for a 3-star hotel, and employee Francisco was dashing around to clean and serve everyone, as the refectory was full. He put in a real effort. The tortillas were very good, and more bacon could have been prepared, but breakfast was good value. I loved the experience of staying in an old monastery.”

“This lovely former monastery has beautiful courtyards and cloister corridors. My room was clean, spacious, and had a terrace with fine views of the surrounding mountains. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay.”

“The hotel is very central. The bus from the bus station stops right at the door, and just 200 metres away you are in the heart of the city. Excellent location. The reception staff were very helpful and pleasant.”
